Travel details are required per trip. An Epermit will be good for one Single-Entry within 5-months of your trip Departure Date from your country of origin (trip when the trip will begin).

To assure your request is approved (not rejected), please be certain the uploaded vaccine or medical health report contains the following: from s licensed vet or veterinary clinic and includes the following on veterinary clinic letterhead or stationery: 1) Veterinary Clinic's name, address and phone #; 2) Owner's name, address and phone #; 3) Pet's details: name , breed, DOB or age., sex, microchip #, weight and unit of measurement (lbs. or kgs.), microchip #, and'; 4) Required Vaccines with the given date, manufacturer, Lot # and expiry date; 5) License Vet's Full Name (First and Last), License #, Signature and or Clinic Stamp.
REQUIRED VACCINES:
BOTH DOGS & CATS Require RABIES* 1-yr or 3-yr vaccine protection.*
DOGS require current-unexpired vaccine protection against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, & Adenovirus (Commonly known as DHLPP or DA2PPv + L, (with 1-yr. or 3-yr. duration of immunity noted).
CATS require vaccine protection against Feline Leukemia, Feline Rhinotracheitis, Feline Calicivirus, Feline Panleukopenia and Feline Pneumonitis (commonly known as FVRCP-C+FeLV or FVRCP+Ch+FeLV (with 1-yr. or 3-yr. duration of immunity noted).
BOTH DOGS & CATS are required to have a Fecal Exam (fecal parasitic screening) performed annually, semi-annually, etc. The normal or negative results must be documented on the IHC for travel to the Bahamas.
Pre-arrival - An International Health Certificate (IHC) and Veterinarian vaccine-certification form must be completed by a licensed vet within 48 hours prior to Bahamas arrival for entry.
Has the pet or service animal been in a High-Risk-Rabies country within the past six (6) months?
Please be alerted that IF a pet has been in a high-risk-rabies country within the past six (6) months, then the Rabies vaccine must 1) not be performed less than 30 days for full immunity; 2) not be more than 10 months for one-year vaccine; and 3) not more than 34 months for three-year vaccine. In addition to an International Health Certificate being completed within 48 hours prior to Bahamas arrival by a licensed vet, IF the animal has been in a high-risk-rabies country within the past six (6) months, then the IHC must be endorsed by a government accredited veterinarian with accreditation details and stamp. For example, USDA (US) accredited vet or CFIA accredited vet (Canada), etc.).
